In 2021, our investments totaled EUR 250 million, of which construction investments accounted for EUR 184,1 million.
The largest construction projects in terms of costs were the Bridge Hospital at EUR 70 million, the new Oak Hospital at EUR 18.9 million and the renovation of the Park Hospital at EUR 16.5 million. Most of the major projects were in the Meilahti, Jorvi and Hyvinkää hospital campuses. In addition to our own construction investments, we made a major contribution to the planning of the new Joint Hospital on the Laakso Hospital campus with the City of Helsinki.
The single largest investment in equipment was in equipment and furniture for the Park Hospital. In all, EUR 35.6 million was used for equipment investments.
In HUS Information Management, the largest in-house investments in 2021 involved patient information systems, such as developing e-Health services, clinical analytics applications and integration projects with the Apotti system. We invested EUR 25.8 million in information management in the year under review.
