Childbirth services at Lohja Hospital have been on a break since June 17, 2024. During the break, patients from the HUS region coming in to give birth have been directed to go to the Women's Hospital and Espoo and Hyvinkää hospitals.

Lohja Hospital will admit patients coming in to give birth starting September 9 at 8 a.m. At the same time, the 24/7 emergency services in gynecology and obstetrics will also open and maternity appointments will begin.

HUS introduced a childbirth helpline in June. Patients coming to Lohja Hospital to give birth are also asked to always call the childbirth helpline before leaving for the hospital, tel. 09 471 71500.

“The summer break has gone according to plan. Thanks to the childbirth helpline we have been able to guide patients to other HUS maternity hospitals,” says Aydin Tekay, Head of Emergency Services in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
