At the outpatient clinic, we offer acute and consultation psychiatry services to adult patients in our area.
Referral to our treatment may be based on, for example, suspicion of severe depression or other serious mental disorder, suicide attempt, or serious self-harm. You can come to our outpatient clinic with a physician’s referral or on the basis of a consultation request.
At the Acute Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic, we carry out examination-based assessments of the need for treatment as well as short examination and treatment periods. Your examination and treatment will be symptomatic and individual and it will be based on a treatment plan drawn up together. A multidisciplinary team is in charge of your treatment.
We also respond to consultation requests from emergency department, somatic wards, and outpatient clinics. Consultation needs may be related to for example, psychiatric pharmacotherapy, evaluation of the need for ward care and psychiatric follow-up care, or general hospital psychiatric assessments. Based on the assessment of the need for treatment, we will refer you to further treatment if necessary.
We value genuine care and support your resources and active participation!
