Honkaharju X-ray unit

In the Honkaharju X-ray unit, we perform plain X-ray examinations without an appointment and ultrasound examinations with an appointment.

  • We perform examinations only with a referral from South Karelia wellbeing services county.

You are free to choose your X-ray location

Once you receive a referral to HUS for skeletal, chest, or dental X-ray examinations, you are free to choose the imaging unit where you go for the examinations. Most X-ray units do not require booking an appointment.

How do I prepare for examinations and where do I get the results?

Examinations always require a referral. More information on the required preparations, arriving for examinations, and receiving the test results can be found here.
