The number of emergency admissions and booked appointments in specialist medical care decreased. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we aimed to convert as many booked appointments as possible to remote consultations.

The number of emergency admissions for specialist medical care (261,649) decreased by 12.5% on the previous year. In 2020, our hospitals logged an average of 715 emergency admissions for specialist medical care per day.

The combined number of booked outpatient appointment products at our units decreased by 4.6% on the previous year. There were 2,223,845 booked appointments in all.

The use of online services and phone callbacks increased. There was also an increase in psychiatric outpatient services. In all other areas, however, the number of outpatient appointments decreased.
