Ruoholahti Gynecological Outpatient Clinic will temporarily move to Haartman Hospital
On Monday, December 18, all appointments from Ruoholahti Outpatient Clinic will transfer from the Park Hospital to the Haartman Hospital located in the Meilahti campus. From January 1, 2024, onwards, the unit’s name is Gynecological Outpatient Clinic, Helsinki.
The Helsinki Gynecological Outpatient Clinic offers general gynecology appointments and colposcopies. We also perform abortions and conduct hysteroscopies as outpatient procedures.
At the Helsinki (previously Ruoholahti) Gynecological Outpatient Clinic, we examine and treat patients with various gynecological problems, such as menstrual disorders, lower abdominal pain, various changes in the ovaries, and uterine myomas and polyps. We also offer appointments for performing hysteroscopies and balloon thermal endometrial ablation as outpatient procedures.
In the Colposcopy Unit, we treat patients with changes in the cells and tissues of the cervix, vagina and external genital area caused by the papillomavirus (HPV). In addition, we examine and treat chronic pain conditions and inflammations in the external genital area, problems related to sequela to circumcision, and skin and mucous membrane lesions in the genital area.
If you wish to terminate your pregnancy, just get in contact with your local gynecological outpatient clinic. Patients in Vantaa and Kerava should consult their local family planning clinic (ehkäisyneuvola).
We are an appointment only outpatient clinic, which means that in order to receive treatment at our clinic, you need a physician’s referral. Based on the referral, we assess the need and urgency of treatment. We will notify you of the scheduled appointment by letter. At the clinic, we work as physician-nurse teams.
