The Neonatal Monitoring Ward and the maternity wards in Lohja Hospital will close on June 17, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. Inpatients at the wards will be transferred to other HUS maternity hospitals.

24/7 emergency services in gynecology and obstetrics at Lohja Hospital will continue until June 17, 2024, 8:00 a.m. We ask that patients always call the hospital before seeking medical attention at the emergency department. Already during the June 14–16 weekend, Lohja Hospital will direct some urgent patients to other hospitals as needed.

Emergency care services for gynecology and obstetrics will continue at a limited capacity during office hours. The treatment of all patients requiring urgent care will be transferred to other maternity hospitals that have emergency services, as Lohja Hospital will not have surgical services available during the break.

Lohja Hospital’s Maternity Outpatient Clinic and Gynecological Outpatient Clinic remain open as usual. The hospital will also provide midwife's appointments, such as prenatal screening, postnatal appointments, and appointments for gestational diabetes and fear of childbirth.  During the summer, Lohja will also provide appointments for patients from Women's Hospital, Espoo Hospital, and Hyvinkää Hospital who have a fear of childbirth.

The HUS media service is available for the media Mon–Thu 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. and Fri 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m., tel. 050 427 2875, or via e-mail: viestinta@hus.fi.
